| Bio | I'm Darcy a guitarist/vocalist, frontwoman and primary songwriter of Melbourne-based alternative rock band Tina Growls. Alongside my younger brother and partner we create our own brooding and moody music influenced by my love for progressive, grunge, hard rock, alternative and neo-soul music.
We have recently returned from a 3-year hiatus which I spent writing and refining songs we previously performed, whilst also writing new ones to create a better live set for us to play and for audiences to enjoy. The songs I write often reflect my own emotional processes, they reflect states that I grapple with and overcome or return to again and again - the music gives me an opportunity to express and grow through my feelings.
We hope to release our first album in the near future, with these songs having been recorded and mixed from home. We hope to continue playing as a band and touring, releasing music and connecting to people through it. |
